Solid Waste Management Tips

  • Don't Litter. The fine for littering is $5000 or one month imprisonment
  • Beautify your Surroundings. Clean the entrance to your community. Adopt a scenic spot, a beach, river or a ravine. Plant flowers and trees

  • Stick to the Days and Times of your Garbage Collection. You are responsible for the garbage you generate. Tear cardboard boxes. Don't place cardboard barrels out for collection. Bag your garbage and place it in a poubelle or container
  • Place scrap metals, old stoves, refrigerator and washing machines out for collection only on days and times announced
  • Stick to the collection days and times, to lessen opportunities for stray animals scavenging garbage
  • Put holes or soil in containers, prevent mosquitoes from breeding
